About Gayle Haagensen

Gayle Haagensen

From early childhood I was interested in creating. My favorite part of kindergarten was coloring and dancing with scarves. Academics always held second place in my heart. In my twenties I began painting, but stopped to finish college, where I graduated with a degree in Interior Design. My creative bent, satisfied through owning my own design firm and teaching design at the local college continued until I moved to Colorado from California in 2004. It was at that point I was able to pick up pen and paintbrush again. I haven’t stopped since!

The proceeds of all my art pieces go to support local and global charities, Mountain States Children’s Home, Longmont Colorado and Compassion International, Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Original work can be seen at The Walnut Gallery in Longmont, Colorado.
